Згідно з рейтингом, найбільш впливовими особами у сфері медіа є голови американських технологічних компаній. Однак у першій десятці списку є також актор Ленні Генрі (Lenny Henry) та співачка Тейлор Свіфт (Taylor Swift), видавець та редактор Daily Mail Пол Декре (Paul Dakre) та Мартін Кларк (Martin Clarke),пише Телекритика

Засновник та генеральний директор Facebook Марк Цукерберг (Mark Zuckerberg) посів другу сходинку рейтингу. Очільник іншої американської компанії Apple Тім Кук (Tim Cook) отримав третє місце у списку.

Американське домінування у першій десятці порушив гендиректор BBC Тоні Хол (Tony Hall), який отримав четверту сходинку. Міжнародний медіамагнат Руперт Мердок (Rupert Murdoch) – на сьомому місці.

На п’ятому щаблі розмістився засновник Amazon Джеф Безос (Jeff Bezos), на шостому – гендиректор сервісу мікроблогів Twitter Дік Костоло (Dick Costolo).

До рейтингу MediaGuardian 100 потрапили також політики, рекламники, піарники та інші особи, що чинили вагомий вплив на сферу медіа у 2014 році.
