Генеральна прокуратура очікує припинення виходу щоденної газети "Вести" з п'ятниці, 14 липня.

Про це на брифінгу в п'ятницю сказав заступник генерального прокурора - головний військовий прокурор Анатолій Матіос, передають "Українські новини".

За його словами, фінансування медіа-холдингу "Вести" здійснюється з коштів, одержуваних за надання в користування 1 тисячі залізничних вагонів.

"Сподіваюся, що з сьогоднішнього дня 1 тисяча вагонів, вартість яких становить близько 40 млн доларів, вже не будуть приносити дохід для безкоштовного розповсюдження такої гарної газети, як "Вести ", та інших фейковий сайтів", – заявив Матіос.

Він підтвердив, що обшуки проходять в редакції видання, але підкреслив, що самі журналісти холдингу не обшукуються і не є фігурантами кримінального провадження.

Матіос і міністр внутрішніх справ Арсен Аваков стверджують, що можливе припинення діяльності медіа-холдингу "Вести" не пов'язане з будь-якими журналістськими матеріалами, а виключно з непрозорою процедурою його фінансування.

Як повідомлялося, 14 липня правоохоронці проводять обшуки в бізнес-центрі "Гулівер", де знаходиться редакція "Вестей" у Києві.
