"Ви злякалися, сон втратили, що ми будемо співпрацювати зі Сполученими Штатами. Ви цього боїтеся. Все робите для того, щоб ця взаємодія була підірвана... Подивися на мене, очі не відводь, що ти очі відводиш?" — сказав Сафронков, звертаючись до Райкрофта.
Користувачі соціальних мереж висміяли поведінку російського посла. Хтось називає його "гопником", а хтось з ностальгією згадує часи одіозного Віталія Чуркіна, називаючи його "верхом адекватності" порівняно із Сафронковим.
