Американська компанія Google вирішила змінити правила розміщення політичної реклами за таргетингом.
 

Про це компанія повідомляє в офіційному блозі.

Як заявили в Google, планується обмежити аудиторію політичної реклами за такими категоріями таргетингу як: вік, стать, та загальне розташування (за поштовим індексом). Рекламодавцям залишать можливість використовувати лише контекстний таргетинг, тобто показувати рекламу людям, які цікавлять схожими темами.

"Політичні рекламодавці, звичайно ж, можуть продовжувати орієнтуватися на контекст, наприклад, показувати рекламу людям, які читають або дивляться ресурси, наприклад, про економіку", - пояснили в компанії.

Зазначається, що обмеження вводиться з цього тижня в Британії, у зв'язку з майбутніми парламентськими виборами. Потім обмеження пошириться на інші країни Європейського союзу, а до початку 2021 року обмеження діятиме в усьому світі.

"Для впровадження цих змін буде потрібний якийсь час, і ми почнемо застосовувати новий підхід у Британії протягом тижня. В ЄС до кінця року і в решті світу, починаючи з 6 січня 2020 року", - йдеться в повідомленні Google.
