Глава Каталонії Карлес Пучдемон і інші регіональні урядовці підписали документ, яким проголошується незалежність регіону від Іспанії

Про це повідомляє Українська правда із посиланням на агентство Reuters.

"Каталонія відновлює сьогодні свій повний суверенітет", - йдеться в документі під назвою "заява представників Каталонії".

"Ми закликаємо всі держави і міжнародні організації визнати Каталонську республіку незалежною і суверенною державою", - йдеться в повідомленні.

При цьому агентство зазначає, що поки неясно чи матиме документ юридичну цінність.

Як повідомлялося, 10 жовтня Пучдемон звернувся до регіонального парламенту в Барселоні із закликом відкласти голосування за проголошення незалежності на кілька тижнів заради діалогу з Іспанією.

У свою чергу уряд Іспанії не визнає цю декларацію, а також відхилив заклики Пучдемона до переговорів, повідомляє ВВС.

Заступник прем'єр-міністра Іспанії назвав Пучдемона "тим, хто не знає, де він, куди він прямує".

Прем'єр-міністр Іспанії Маріано Рахой має намір провести надзвичайне засідання кабінету міністрів для обговорення наступних кроків уряду.
