Руководство Социалистической партии Франции призвало своих однопартийцев отказаться от участия во втором туре выборов в тех регионах, где Национальный фронт набрал больше всего голосов, а социалисты оказались на третьем месте, сообщает ВВС.
Первый секретарь партии Жан-Кристоф Камбаделис подчеркнул, что они таким образом намерены поставить "республиканскую преграду" Нацфронту.
При этом глава партии республиканцев Николя Саркози заявил, что не согласен ни объединяться с социалистами, ни отказываться бороться во втором туре, отметив, что "услышал и понял глубокое разочарование французов".
По предварительным данным МВД на региональных выборах во Франции в шести из 13 регионов лидирует крайне-правый Национальный фронт, возглавляемый Марин Ле Пен.
Второй тур выборов состоится 13 декабря.
