У ВООЗ повідомили, що багато людей завдали собі шкоди через неправдиву інформацію про коронавірус
 

Про це генеральний директор Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров'я Тедрос Аданом Гебреісус повідомив під час виступу на вебінарі на цю тему в рамках 75-ї сесії Генасамблеї ООН, передає РБК-Україна.

"Варто було тільки коронавірусу поширитися по світу, як відразу з'явилися чутки, неправдиві відомості та дезінформація. І вони можуть бути не менш небезпечними", - заявив голова ВООЗ.

Він зазначив, що фейки також посилили стигматизацію, яка стає бар'єром для надання допомоги тим, хто її потребує. Чутки також спровокували хвилю недовіри до науки і систем охорони здоров'я.

"Ми зможемо встановити контроль над цим вірусом, якщо у людей буде точна і своєчасна інформація про основні заходи, яких вони можуть вжити для захисту себе та інших", - зауважив Гебреєсус.
