Компания Facebook занята разработкой собственного виртуального помощника, известного под рабочим названием Moneypenny — в честь мисс Манипенни, секретаря М (главы МИ-6) из шпионских романов о Джеймсе Бонде. В книгах Яна Флеминга этому персонажу доверены многие тайны секретной службы — такой новую функцию и задумывает Facebook.

Виртуальный "консьерж" будет работать внутри приложения Messenger для обмена сообщениями и видео. Однако в отличие от Siri в iPhone, Google Now на Android-устройствах или Cortana в "винфонах", которые сфокусированы на повышении продуктивности, Moneypenny призван выполнять различные поручения пользователя, помогать ему искать, выбирать и заказывать товары и услуги в Интернете,сообщают hitech.vesti.ru

Пока не вполне понятно, как будет устроена работа консультанта. "Неясно, какими функциями будет обладать сервис и как именно Facebook будет выполнять запросы", — говорится в статье. Возможно, речь идет не о полностью автоматической, а гибридной системе, которая будет функционировать при поддержке реальных людей-операторов. Сроки запуска Moneypenny также неизвестны.

Аудитория Messenger превышает 700 миллионов человек, которые пользуются им на ежемесячной основе. Facebook делает из него нечто большее, чем просто чат. За последние полгода компания разрешила общаться в нем людям, не имеющим аккаунта в соцсети, добавила денежные переводы, выпустила "настольный" клиент, а также запустила функцию видеовызовов в дополнение к голосовым звонкам.
