Крупнейшая в мире социальная сеть Facebook приобрела белорусскую компанию Masquerade, разработчика приложения, позволяющим накладывать различные маски на лица в реальном времени - MSQRD. Сумма сделки не сообщается, говорится в сообщении стартапа

"В Masquerade мы упорно трудились, чтобы сделать видео более увлекательным и интересным, создавая фильтры, которые расширяют и изменяют внешний вид. Теперь мы рады объединить усилия с Facebook и показать технологию еще большему количеству людей", - сообщил создатель MSQRD Евгений Невген (Eugene Nevgen), слова которого приводятся в сообщении.

Приложение MSQRD появилось в декабре 2015 года. К концу февраля 2016 года количество его пользователей составило 10 миллионов человек. Первая iOS версия приложения была выпущена 17 декабря.

Социальная сеть Facebook была основана в феврале 2004 года 19-летним американским студентом Марком Цукербергом. Штаб-квартира расположена в Менло-Парк, Калифорния.
