Таким чином, користувачам у стрічці першим показуватимуть той контент, який швидше вантажиться. Очікується, що ці зміни набудуть чинності в найближчі кілька місяців.

За даними Facebook, користувачі часто відмовляються переходити на сторінку сайту, якщо їм занадто довго доводиться чекати її завантаження. Так, 40% відвідувачів веб-сайтів не готові чекати відкриття сторінки більше 3 секунд.

У Facebook запевняють, що більшість користувачів та сторінок не побачать значної різниці після запровадження нового принципу роботи алгоритму. Однак ті сторінки, які дуже повільно завантажуються, отримуватимуть менше реферального трафіку з соцмережі.

До цього соцмережа Facebook при формуванні стрічки новин віддавала перевагу релевантному та автентичному контенту - ці зміни були анонсовані в лютому цього року. Також Facebook віднедавна занижує у стрічці посилання на сайти з неякісним контентом.
