Так, єдиний багатомовний канал Euronews буде розділений на 12 окремих каналів. За задумом, такий підхід дозволить каналу створювати і передавати адресний контент, пише Media Sapiens

Для запровадження цієї трансформації канал запровадив п'ятимісячну програму навчання, аби підвищити кваліфікацію та підготувати до роботи 430 журналістів та технічних працівників.

Крім того, Euronews працює над новою комерційною стратегією. Канал планує збільшити обсяг контенту, який він створює, та краще адаптуватися до вимог сучасного рекламного ринку.

Раніше американська телекомпанія NBC Universal придбала за $ 30 мільйонів 25% акцій Euronews, з подальшою метою оновити канал. Хоча стратегічний план Next був запущений вже тоді.

Як писав MediaSapiens, минулого року журналісти Euronews висловили недовіру керівництву та заявили про цензуру. Один з журналістів на умовах анонімності розповів, що їм заборонили критикувати Туреччину після невдалого перевороту 15 липня та жорстку політику Росії щодо її сусідів та членів ЄС.
