Колишній прем’єр Ісландії Сігмундур Гуннлаугссон, який був змушений піти з посади на тлі офшорного скандалу, буде судитися з медіа, які висвітлювали тему його статків і статків його дружини.

Про це повідомляє видання Iceland Monitor.

Зараз Гуннлаугссон, який готується до повноцінного повернення в політику з новою партією, планує подати три судові позови проти ісландських медіа-компаній, які висвітлювали інформацію про те, що він має офшорну компанію. Так, екс-прем’єр планує судитися з державним мовником RÚV, а також новинними веб-сайтами Kjarninn і Stundin.

Він називає інформацію, оприлюднену у ЗМІ, перебільшеною і подекуди сфабрикованою.

Зокрема, за словами Гуннлаугссона, він вимагав від RÚV офіційних вибачень, однак так їх і не дочекався.

Тому після закінчення виборчої кампанії він має намір позиватися до медіа.

Як повідомлялося, прем'єр Ісландії Сігмундур Гуннлаугссон у квітні минулого року подав у відставку після скандалу з панамськими офшорами.

Гуннлаугссон та його дружина стали одними з фігурантів розслідування міжнародних журналістів щодо  іменитих власників великих офшорів.
