Російське «Эхо Москвы» сьогодні провело опитування, що буквально звучить так: «Зустріти представника якої національності в темну пору дня ви побоюєтеся?». На вибір було дано лише дві національності – українець та чеченець. Третім пунктом зазначено, як «важко відповісти».

Опитування ЗМІ проводило через інтернет та телефоном. В мережі, станом на 18 годину, взяло участь в опитуванні взяло 467 осіб, з них 30 росіян зазначили, що бояться зустріти вночі українця. Це склало 7% від опитаних. Чеченців бояться зустріти вночі 365 опитаних користувачів інтернет, тобто 80%.

У телефонному опитуванні станом на 18 годину взяло участь 248 респондентів, з них бояться українців 27 людей, або 11%. Чеченців росіяни все ж бояться більше за українців – «так» відповіло 221 людина, або 89% опитаних.
