Как сообщает сайт deadline.com, совладельцами крупной киностудии Lionsgate стали медиакомпании Discovery Communication и Liberty Global, которые приобрели по 3,4% акций.

 
Доминирующим акционером каждой из компаний-покупателей является магнат Джон Малоун, уже владеющий 3% Lionsgate. Благодаря нынешним сделкам влияние Малоуна на киностудию будет увеличено. По информации зарубежных СМИ, магнат намерен продолжить укреплять свои позиции в Lionsgate и в итоге объединить ее с сетью Starz в единый медиахолдинг, пишет Дело.
 
Напомним, киностудия выпустила такие проекты, как "Голодные игры", "Ведьма из Блэр: Курсовая с того света", "Неудержимые 1, 2", "Реквием по мечте" и другие.
