Christian Louboutin викликав справжній фурор на Тижні моди в Парижі, влаштувавши в басейні Piscine Molitor перфоманс синхронного плавання «Paris is Louboutining».

 
 

Басейн в стилі ар-деко, спроєктований Люсьєном Полле в 1929 році, був перетворений на водний бурлеск. Бренд залучив фотографа і кліпмейкера Девіда Лашапеля для артдирекції, Бланку Лі для хореографії, трупу з 14 танцюристів і 15 членів олімпійської збірної Франції з артистичного плавання для підводного перформансу, повністю виконаного на нових підборах Miss Z.

33-метровий басейн був прикрашений з одного боку білою сценою з 15 червоними вікнами, що світяться, і величезною парою бірюзових підборів, які слугували гіркою. Яскраві візуальні образи та динамічна хореографія створили атмосферу, натхненну водними балетами 50-х років, переосмислену через сучасну перспективу.

Ще до Олімпіади в Парижі Лубутен загорівся ідеєю використати спортсменів для презентації своєї колекції. Він уявляв собі щось дивовижне, де люди не очікували б побачити спортсменів і не очікували б побачити взуття.
