Пейдж на заседании Комитета Палаты представителей по разведке подтвердил факт общения с вице-премьером РФ Дворковичем Экс-советник предвыборного штаба президента Соединенных Штатов Америки Дональда Трампа по внешней политике Картер Пейдж на заседании Комитета Палаты представителей по разведке подтвердил факт общения с российским вице-премьером Аркадием Дворковичем.

Сообщается, что Пейдж информировал людей в кампании Трампа об общении с русскими, а также давал подробную информацию о его контактах с русскими после встречи с зампредседателя правительства РФ Дворковичем во время поездки в июле 2016 года. В Комитете экс-советник рассказал, что ему предложили выступить в РФ после того, как он присоединился к кампании. При этом Пейдж утверждает, что он заранее добивался разрешения на поездку и просил совета относительно своего выступления в университете, а затем предложил представить отчет участникам кампании Трампа. Отмечается, что Пейдж всегда утверждал, что ездил в Россию как частный гражданин, и это не было связано с кампанией Трампа.

После поездки, Пейдж предложил представителям кампании Трампа отчет о поездке. "Я скоро направлю вам отчет, что касается некоторой невероятно уникальной информации и информационного продвижения, которое я получил от нескольких российских законодателей и высокопоставленных членов администрации президента здесь", - говорится в письме Пейджа. Напомним, Федеральное большое жюри в Вашингтоне в пятницу, 27 октября, одобрило первые обвинения в расследовании, проведенном специальным адвокатом Робертом Мюллером, о возможном вмешательстве РФ в выборы президента США.
