Известный российский писатель Борис Акунин на своей странице в соцсети Facebook поделился своими впечатлениями от просмотра британской комедии «Смерть Сталина». «Жутко злая, шокирующая все мое шаламовско-солженицынско-мемориальское сознание», – сообщает Акунин. 

Писатель рассказывает, Сталин изображен, как смешной и жалкий карлик, который живет в окружении еще более жалких «берий-маленковых-хрущевых-молотовых», жадно грызущихся под ковром, а внизу, в полной власти этой шайки, огромная, темная, безропотная страна. И все это, хоть и страшно, но по-клоунски смешно. Борис Акунин вспоминает, что он сидел в зале и сердито пыхтел, видя, что, оказывается, можно так безжалостно потешаться над великими и ужасными страданиями великой и ужасной истории.

Акунин отмечает, что потом вдруг захотелось взглянуть на СССР чужими глазами, со стороны – как мы сейчас смотрим на страну Ким Чен Ына, и подумалось, что, может быть, именно такого, брезгливо-недоуменного отношения к сталинизму всем нам и не хватает. «Завещал же один шутник человечеству расставаться со своим прошлым смеясь. У меня-то, с живой памятью об испорченной жизни родителей и бабушек-дедушек, конечно, так залихватски не получится. Может быть, у тех, кто моложе?», – задается вопросом писатель.
