В первый же день в топ платных приложений в App Store выбились три таких расширения: Peace от одного из бывших разработчиков Tumblr Марко Армента обогнал Minecraft и поднялся на первое место, Purify оккупировал четвертое прямо под Plague Inc., а на 28 месте можно найти Blockr, сообщает Іguides.ru

После установки эти расширения блокируют рекламные баннеры на сайтах в Safari. В других браузерах (например, в Chrome), а также в приложениях и играх реклама остается. Блокировщики рекламы могут негативно повлиять на сайты, которые зарабатывают, показывая пользователям рекламные баннеры. Крупные компании вроде Facebook, Twitter или ВКонтакте от них не пострадают, поскольку они научились интегрировать рекламные объявления в ленты новостей.

На прошлой неделе на iOS появился браузер AdBlock со встроенной блокировкой рекламы. Он есть и на Android. На платформе Google также доступно приложение AdBlock Plus — оно блокирует рекламу во всех браузерах и некоторых приложениях.
