Батько лідера "Національного Фронту" Марін Ле Пен Жан-Марі Ле Пен вважає, що його дочка має залишити пост лідера партії.

"Ви перестаєте бути корисними, коли ваша впертість починає шкодити партії і вашим позиціям у політиці. Я думаю, вона має піти", - заявив журналістам 89-річний Ле Пен біля закритих воріт офісу.

Як зазначається, стосунки в сім'ї погіршилися після того, як Марін Ле Пен вигнала батька з "Національного Фронту" в 2015 році за коментарі, що применшували трагедію Голокосту. Марін Ле Пен дала зрозуміти, що не вітає спроби батька приїхати на збори лідерів "Нацфронту" цього вівторока.

Жан-Марі Ле Пен прибув з приставом і адвокатом, щоб отримати свідоцтво про замкнуті на замок ворота, щоб не пустити його на засідання. Він пояснив, що "дуже старий, щоб піднятися східами". Поразку дочки на президентських виборах батько-засновник "Нацфронту" назвав "принизливою".

Марін Ле Пен дійшла до другого туру президентських виборів у Франції, але програла центристу Еммануелю Макрону. Потім на парламентських виборах її політсила здобула тільки вісім місць у французькому парламенті. Це на чотири мандати більше, ніж минулого разу, але дуже мало, щоб сформувати депутатську групу.
