Оскільки у компанії немає власної мобільної інфраструктури, вона запустить сервіси на мережах інших операторів. За словами джерел, Apple планує укласти угоди з операторами стільникового зв'язку AT&T або Sprint.

Незважаючи на початок підготовки до запуску MVNO, до появи нового оператора на ринку може пройти близько п'яти років. У квітня 2015 аналогічний проект запустила компанія Google. Вона використовує мережі американських операторів Sprint, T-Mobile, а також Wi-Fi. Фірмова технологія дозволяє смартфонам перемикатися між трьома джерелами, вибираючи те, яке на даний момент надає найбільш якісний сигнал.
