Хелен розповіла виданню FEMAIL, що до такого хобі її залучила правнучка, яка запостила перше фото своєї прабабусі у фотоблог. "Я люблю розважатись, та ніколи не думала, що розміщувати свої фото в Інтернеті буде настільки весело. Коли ми розмістили моє перше фото я була вражена, скільки людей його переглянули і підписались на мою сторінку", - розповідає Хелен.

Популярність старенької настільки велика, що у різних соціальних мережах з'являються фейкові сторінки Baddie Winkle, а справжня Вінкл окрім фотоблогу завела ще власний сайт, через який продає футболки зі своїм зображенням.
