Facebook не будет полагаться на алгоритмы в отборе контента для своего нового приложения Paper – новостного агрегатора, который, по неподтвержденным данным, может быть презентован уже в ближайшие недели. Отбором новостей займутся специальные редакторы, пишет Re/code.
Эти редакторы, сообщили источники издания, будут вручную отбирать новости для ленты, а также составлять дайджест лучших, по их мнению, статей. При этом редакторы смогут выбирать только из тех материалов, которые уже были опубликованы на Facebook, пишет Slon.ru
 
Paper, как сообщалось ранее, наряду с материалами прессы будет демонстрировать пользователям популярные фейсбук-статусы и фотографии из Instagram.
 
Сейчас ранжирование ленты новостей в Facebook осуществляется с помощью специальных, довольно спорных алгоритмов, которые автоматически определяют, какие публикации достойны того, чтобы их мог видеть конкретный пользователь социальной сети.
