В МВД опровергают информацию нардепа Геннадия Москаля о том, что на экс-ректоре Налоговой академии Петру Мельнику был контрабандный электронный браслет.

"Это неправда", - заявил в субботу начальник управления связей с общественностью МВД Сергей Бурлаков, сообщает Украинская правда.

По его словам, МВД закупило 527 электронных средств контроля, которые состоят из двух частей - самого браслета и мобильного контрольного устройства, похожего на мобильный телефон.

Бурлаков подтвердил, что заявка действительно была на 856 средств контроля, однако средств в МВД хватило только на 527. При этом он опроверг информацию Москаля, что было закуплено не все необходимое оборудование для домашнего ареста.

"Покупались не только браслеты, но и программное обеспечение, серверы, оборудование для рабочих мест и т.д.", - заверил представитель МВД.

По его словам, на данный момент оборудованы 99 рабочих мест, на которых работают операторы систем контроля, они постепенно вводятся в эксплуатацию.

Сейчас в Украине под домашним арестом с использованием указанных систем контроля находится около 50 человек.

При этом он опроверг информацию Москаля о том, что в МВД не было свободных браслетов, и поэтому Мельнику его нашли только через 6 дней после избрания меры пресечения в виде домашнего ареста.

В целом, по его словам, заявления Москаля по ситуации с Мельником "абсолютно не соответствуют действительности". "Просто все, кому не лень, хотят попиариться", - подытожил Бурлаков.
