Если выборы в проблемных округах не будут назначены до ноябрьского саммита Украина-ЕС, это будет "серьезными минусом" в контексте подписания Соглашения об ассоциации с ЕС. Об этом в ходе пресс-конференции в "Обозревателе" рассказал председатель правления Комитета избирателей Украины Александр Черненко.

Как напомнил эксперт, в "списке Фюле" речь идет о назначении, а не о проведении выборов. При этом, если выборы не будут назначены, например, из-за противостояния в парламенте власти и оппозиции, украинская сторона будет аргументировать это так: "Мы хотели, но нам не дали".

В то же время Черненко подчеркнул, что в деле евроинтеграции Украины вопрос выборов в проблемных округах, а также выборов в Киеве, не играет решающей роли. По-прежнему вопросом номер один остается судьба лидера оппозиции Юлии Тимошенко. "Из множества пунктов списка Фюле сегодня не выполнено и половины, но европейцы готовы закрыть глаза на все, кроме вопроса Тимошенко", - сказал он.

"Если вопрос Тимошенко будет каким-то образом решен, но выборы по тем или иным причинам не назначат, это будет не самая большая проблема. Но если Тимошенко останется в тюрьме и еще и выборы не назначат – безусловно, это делает шансы на подписание Соглашения все меньшими и меньшими", - заявил глава КИУ.

Напомним, ранее Черненко заявил о том, что ЕСПЧ не уполномочен назначать выборы в столице.
