TikTok видалив акаунти, пов'язані з російськими державними ЗМІ, за «участь у таємних операціях зі здійснення впливу». Про це повідомляє видання Sky News.

Зазначається, що це частина зусиль TikTok щодо запобігання дезінформації напередодні президентських виборів у США. Видалено акаунти медіагрупи «Россия сегодня», яка володіє інформаційними службами «РИА Новости» та «Спутник», а також «ТВ-Новости» — материнської структури телеканалу RT.

У соцмережі нагадали, що раніше доступ до акаунтів було обмежено у Великій Британії та ЄС, а їхній контент у всьому світі позначено як контрольоване державою медіа. Однак зараз вважається, що вони заборонені назавжди.
